Luke Tilley

Luke Tilley serves as the Director of Communications and Engagement and National Insect Week Coordinator at the Royal Entomological Society, with an emphasis on promoting public awareness of insect importance. Luke co-founded and organized Insect Festivals in York and Bristol. Additionally, Luke has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Director of Outreach & Development at the society, focusing on education, outreach, and strategic development. Currently, Luke is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the University of Gloucestershire and acts as a Visiting Professor at MESH Mediation Sheffield. Previously, Luke served as a Trustee at the University of York and held roles in project management and research at Stockbridge Technology Centre and Durham University. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biology from the University of York and a BSc in Biology from The University of Sheffield.
