Brian P. Kolva

Brian Kolva is currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Mesirow Financial since November 2019. Prior to this role, Brian held positions as Vice President & Legal Counsel at both 50 South Capital and Northern Trust Corporation, overseeing legal functions for various private investment funds. Brian's prior experience includes working as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Vedder Price, P.C., where expertise was developed in structuring private investment funds and advising on complex fund operations. Brian also completed clerkships at the National Stock Exchange and with ING Investment Management. Brian holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Chicago.
