Ryan Block

Ryan Block is the current MD of Retirement Advisory Services at Mesirow Financial. Prior to this, they worked as a financial analyst for Ygomi LLC / SEI LLC from October 2005 to January 2008, where they were responsible for actively managing up to $10 million of cash inflows and outflows as Ygomi’s Cash Manager. Ryan also forecasted monthly revenues and expenses of four subsidiaries of Ygomi to ensure proper worldwide distribution of funds.

Block has also worked as a financial analyst for JPMorgan Chase from June 2002 to October 2005. In this role, they successfully instituted a budgeting process for 20 domestic and international departments by working directly with senior management and by using Microsoft Office tools. Ryan also developed and supervised a project plan to establish a new subsidiary in Belgium, thus enhancing the firm’s worldwide presence.

Ryan Block graduated from John Hersey High School. Ryan then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Gies College of Business. Next, they participated in a foreign exchange program at City University's Cass Business School in London, England. Finally, they earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Ryan Block also has a certification from The Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business in accredited investment fiduciary.
