Leandra Knight

Leandra Knight is an accomplished Associate Scientist at MESO SCALE DIAGNOSTICS, LLC since July 2024, with a strong background in research and development in various biotech and agricultural roles. Prior positions include Senior Research Associate at OriGene and KeyGene, where significant contributions were made to the optimization of sequencing and plant research. Earlier experience includes a role as Research Assistant at USDA-APHIS-CPHST, marked by the verification of protocols for molecular diagnostics and generation of extensive Sanger sequences for Phytophthora species. Additional expertise includes roles in horticulture, herbicide resistance testing, and pest management across several organizations, beginning with research at Akkadix Corp and education culminating in a BS in Plant and Microbial Biology with an emphasis in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley, and further studies at the University of Florida.
