VP, Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer at Messer

Stan joined Messer in 2005 as Director of Economic Inclusion. He earned a B.A. in political science, magna cum laude, from Curry College in 1984 and an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from Howard University in 1986. After ten years of dedicated service, he was promoted to Vice President, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer in 2015. Stan became an integral part of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. As Chief of Messer’s Economic Inclusion program, he develops relationships and partnerships with certified minority- and women-owned businesses. His efforts provide economic opportunities that include project work and joint ventures. Stan also seeks minority and women candidates who have a desire to work in Messer’s craft workforce and administrative offices.

Under his leadership, Messer has received multiple awards and recognitions including the 2010 Greater Dayton Workforce Diversity Award; 2011 Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, Minority Business Accelerator, Corporation of the Year Award; 2012 Spirit of Diversity, Healthcare Supplier of the Year Award; 2012 Belk Diversity Award; 2016 Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council Corporation of the Year; the Tri-State Minority Supplier Development Council, Corporation of the Year Award; and the DiverityInc 2016 Top 13 Companies for Supplier Diversity.
