Todd Allen

Dr. Allen fulfills a key role on the President’s Cabinet by giving focused attention to the institution’s diversity plan. He leads the Office of Diversity Affairs and will oversee new initiatives, such as the Inclusive Excellence Ambassador Program, a professional development opportunity for interested employees to become empowered, campus change-agents by serving as a liaison between their department and the diversity affairs office. Dr. Allen is the founder of the Common Ground Project, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching the history of the Civil Rights Movement. He is a frequent lecturer on commemorative practices/public memory related to the Civil Rights Movement and also teaches in Messiah’s communication department.
