Amy Plenger

Amy Plenger has extensive experience in both ministry and marketing. Currently serving as the Director of Children's Ministries at Messiah Lutheran Church since July 2005, Amy oversees a variety of programs for families of children through 4th grade, managing a volunteer team of 157 and paid staff to support around 500 children. Prior to this role, Amy dedicated 16 years to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, providing guidance and support to troop leaders, and participating in international travel and cultural exchange initiatives. Amy's marketing career includes leadership positions at companies such as CA, Sterling Software, Samango Software, Amdahl Corporation, and Texas Instruments, where roles ranged from Product Marketing Manager to Director of Product Marketing, focusing on software solutions and strategic marketing efforts. Amy holds an MBA from The Wharton School and an Honors Baccalaureate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
