Frank Perretta

Mr. Perretta is a trial attorney since he began practicing law in 1986. Frank currently specializes in all areas of employment law, business litigation and real estate litigation and counseling. Mr. Perretta has successfully tried, arbitrated, mediated or settled over 500 cases in both state and federal court, achieving consistently excellent results for his clients. Frank comes with outstanding reviews from both his peers as well as his clients.

Mr. Perretta achieved his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Mr. Perretta then moved to Santa Clara University School of Law to and obtained his J.D. in 1986. While attending school for both his undergraduate and his graduate Frank played competitive rugby. After graduating he was then admitted to practice in California as well as the U.S. District Court of California. Mr. Perretta’s professional memberships include the California State Bar Association, Santa Clara County Bar Association, Litigator, Labor and Employment Law Sections, and Defense Research Institute.

Frank has extensive experience in business litigation matters, including breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, director and officer liability, false advertising, breach of duty of loyalty and partnership disputes. He also regularly defends corporations, employers and business owners in employment disputes involving breach of contract, wrongful termination in violation of public policy, sexual harassment, discrimination based on race, age, national origin, and gender and retaliation.

Mr. Perretta has litigated a wide variety of real estate matters, including claims pertaining to purchase and sale contracts, nondisclosure, wrongful eviction, design and construction defects, ground contamination and exposure to hazardous materials including hydrocarbon, pesticides, mold, bacteria, asbestos and lead paint, disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, unlawful detainer, boundary disputes, and easement rights
