Ivaylo Yanakiev

Ivaylo Yanakiev is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in power trading and analysis. Currently serving as the Power Wholesale and Origination Manager at MET Group since May 2019, Ivaylo is responsible for power wholesale trading activities in Bulgaria, including energy resource procurement and negotiating power purchase agreements. Prior to this role, Ivaylo worked as a Power Trading Analyst, focusing on power price modeling and cross-border arbitrage trading in Southeast Europe. Earlier positions include Power Trader at Grand Energy Distribution Ltd and Energy Analyst at EVN Bulgaria, where responsibilities included forecasting renewable energy production and managing imbalance distributions. Ivaylo holds a Graduate Diploma in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in English and French languages from the University of Plovdiv.
