Vivien Bright

Senior Air Quality Scientist

Vivien Bright is a highly experienced Senior Air Quality Scientist at the Met Office since January 2016, specializing in the development of the Air Quality configuration of the Unified Model (AQUM) and the delivery of operational air quality forecasts for the UK. Previously, Vivien served as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from May 2012 to December 2015, focusing on the testing and deployment of air quality sensors and analyzing data for the SNAQ-Heathrow project. Earlier experience includes a role as an Operational Meteorologist at the Met Office from January 2007 to September 2008, where Vivien produced forecasts and issued weather warnings based on various data sources. Vivien's academic credentials include a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Birmingham and a Master's degree in Applied Meteorology from the University of Reading, among other qualifications in the field.
