Andrew Hatch

Andrew Hatch is a Machine Learning Engineer on the Multimodal AI team at Meta, with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. With over ten years of experience in designing and building large-scale machine learning systems, they were the primary author and designer of LinkedIn’s Follow Recommender System. Their past roles include serving as a Scientist at Yahoo, where they developed models for online advertising, and as a Quantitative Developer at Getco, LLC. Andrew has also contributed significantly to projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Google, showcasing a strong foundation in algorithm development and implementation throughout their career.
