Brendan Smyth

Brendan Smyth currently serves as a Product Cost Engineer at Meta since September 2025. Prior to this role, Brendan worked at UPSIDE Foods as a Cost & Lean Six Sigma Manager, where significant improvements in cost efficiency and labor time were achieved through Value Stream Mapping and project management initiatives. As a Process Engineer II at Zymergen, accomplishments included leading a successful lab move project involving 32 stakeholders and launching new KPI metrics that enhanced team performance. Brendan's career began with several positions, including Senior Consultant at Deloitte, where expertise in risk management was developed, and earlier roles in quality engineering and product development. Brendan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
