Emily Linnea Mahoney is an accomplished legal professional with significant experience in technology and law. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel for both Product and Law Enforcement & Security at Meta since June 2020, Mahoney previously held positions at Mason Hayes & Curran and WhatsApp Inc. as an Associate and Counsel (Secondee), respectively. Mahoney’s early career includes roles as an Associate at Baker & McKenzie, a Legal Volunteer with the Media Legal Defence Initiative, and a Consultant for Privacy International. Mahoney's educational background features a Doctor of Law (JD) from Northeastern University School of Law, along with advanced degrees in Sociology and International Law from LSE and SOAS, respectively, and a BA in Multicultural Studies from Connecticut College.
