Francisco Suarez

Hardware Engineer

Francisco Suarez, PhD, is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in hardware design and development, particularly in IoT and AR/VR technologies. From September 2016 to April 2019, Francisco worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Flex, where responsibilities included prototyping hardware designs and conducting background research. Currently, Francisco serves as a Hardware Engineer at Meta within Reality Labs, contributing to projects such as Ray-Ban Stories and Oculus Prototyping. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, focusing on novel thermoelectric materials, and an Electrical Engineering Intern position at Schneider Electric, where testing and development of Motor Overload Relays took place. Academic achievements include a PhD and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, as well as a B.S. degree, all from North Carolina State University.
