Mahmut Durmaz

Mahmut Durmaz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and leadership roles within both military and civilian sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Meta since May 2022, Mahmut focuses on cross-functional projects that enhance user safety and compliance. Prior to this role, Mahmut was a Breakline Tech Program Alumnus, assisting veterans in their career transitions. Mahmut's military career in the Turkish Armed Forces spanned over 14 years, where roles included Program Manager overseeing defense technology projects, Company Commander leading a unit of Commandos, and Foreign Relations Officer advising on national security topics for the Chief of Turkish General Staff. Mahmut is an alumnus of prestigious institutions, holding a B.S. in Comparative Politics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MA in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA from Bahcesehir University.
