Russ Salakhutdinov

Russ Salakhutdinov is an accomplished expert in machine learning with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as the VP of Research in GenAI at Meta, Salakhutdinov previously held significant positions, including UPMC Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and Director of AI Research at Apple. Additionally, Salakhutdinov is a co-founder of Perceptual Machines, Inc. and has experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Salakhutdinov earned a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Toronto between 2005 and 2009.
