Vandana Balan

Vandana Balan serves as a Group Manager of Strategic Sourcing for Infrastructure contracts and cost management at Meta since April 2023, focusing on strategic sourcing of custom components, cost analytics, and contract management. Prior to this, Vandana held the position of Group Manager for Silicon Sourcing and Technology Partnerships at Facebook from January 2018 to August 2023, where responsibilities included sourcing silicon and establishing technology partnerships. Vandana's experience also encompasses roles as Senior Manager of Supply Base Management at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, and as Manager of Strategic Sourcing at Qualcomm, where significant emphasis was placed on vendor management and sourcing strategies. Earlier in the career, Vandana worked with Apple Inc. and Qualcomm in various sourcing and technology strategy roles and started at Micron Technology Inc. as an Industrial Engineer, honing skills in fab operations management. Vandana Balan holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras and an MS in Industrial Management from Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University.
