Jim Hansgate has a wealth of experience in the field of process technology. Jim started their career at Union Carbide as an Engineering Manager in 1977 and worked there until 1990. Jim then joined Arco Lyondell Chemical as a Director of Process Engineering and held this position for 10 years. In 2000, they moved to Bayer MaterialScience as the VP of Process Research Polyurethanes, and later joined Aqualon as the Director of Process Improvement in 2002. Most recently, they worked at Metabolix as the Director of Process Technology starting from 2008.
Jim Hansgate earned a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1972 and 1977.
