Job description

Metadata is looking for a consultative and strategic salesperson to join our team. We are a fast-paced, rapid-growth start-up disrupting the demand generation industry. Ideal applicants have sold into our ICP. We sell our solution to marketing professionals at B2B SaaS companies with over 150 employees. Priority candidates will come with an existing network of marketing DMs, technical knowledge of MarTech (ideally in digital advertising), and a background in selling or leveraging ABM tools.

Metadata started with a clear vision: transform B2B marketing through AI and automation putting us on the cutting edge of the marketing industry. We work with world-leading brands like Zoom, Drift, G2, Okta, Automation Anywhere, Carta, Vonage, Juniper, Appian, etc.

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • You have a natural curiosity and desire to learn
  • Learn quickly and articulate complex ideas in simple terms
  • Great prioritization skills and are effective in managing your time
  • Confidence in running a sales cycle from the first meeting to the close
  • Effective in speaking to practitioners and executives alike
  • Comfortable working in and with startups. You’re ok with ambiguity and trust your gut.
  • BONUS, but not required: 
    • You have experience in Martech/Adtech
    • You’re familiar with the needs and priority GTM executive roles
    • Have sold to marketers and/or demand gen roles

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run consultative discovery with 20+ inbound leads per month
  • Leverage network to generate 10+ outbound discovery meetings per month
  • Lead consultative demos with sales engineering for prospective buyers
  • Lead a consultative sales process aligning Metadata’s value to the business business objectives of your customers. 
  • Use phone, email, and social tools to communicate with marketing executives
  • Learn, create, and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
  • Clearly communicate Metadata’s patented process and value propositions
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and individual forecast
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual goals


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience selling to GTM roles. Marketing and demand gen leaders are a plus.
  • Ability to lead a strategic and consultative sales process with multiple stakeholders, with contract values over $50k
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of industry trends and B2B marketing challenges.
  • Proven ability to understand client needs and handle deal stages from qualification to negotiation process
  • Exemplary writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable with a rapidly changing environment
  • Based USA or Canada
