Abed Rabia

Abed Rabia is an experienced professional in cultural mediation and interpretation, currently serving as a Volunteer Ambassador at City of Glasgow College since August 2023. Abed has worked with METAdrasi as an Arabic Cultural Mediator, Interpreter, and caregiver since October 2020, and previously at Faros, providing crucial interpretation services for minors in various settings. Abed's earlier experience includes roles as an Interpreter and Arabic Cultural Mediator with AMC, facilitating communication for Arab visitors, and teaching Arabic and Mathematics to school-age students at The International School of Peace and SCHOOL OF HOPE. Abed holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Damascus University and a certification as an interpreter for refugees from the University of Glasgow. Currently pursuing further education in International Travel at City of Glasgow College, Abed demonstrates a commitment to cultural understanding and support for marginalized communities.
