Amanda McPherson

Advisory Board Member at Metal Toad

Amanda McPherson is currently an advisory board member at Metal Toad, but they have held many other impressive positions throughout their career. Before Metal Toad, Amanda was the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Developer Programs at The Linux Foundation. There, they were responsible for marketing from the Foundation's inception. Amanda also managed the brand and communication activities, had P&L responsibility for the events business, web site properties and editorial content, and research. In addition, Amanda incubated and managed Dronecode and worked on governance and strategic matters for other Open Source Collaborative Projects.

As The Linux Foundation's CMO, Amanda also drove internal culture programs and lead their hiring and talent acquisition programs. Prior to The Linux Foundation, Amanda was the Director of Marketing at Covalent Technologies from 2001 to 2004. Amanda has a long history of working in marketing and has been very successful in their previous positions. We are excited to have their as a part of our team at Metal Toad.

Amanda McPherson has a BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
