Matthew Armand has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as an Independent Contractor, specializing in stagehand, live sound, instrument tech, sound design, and general sound/audio engineer work. Matthew then interned at I.V. Lab Studios for nine months. In 2012, they worked as a Telecom Cable Installer at Moss Telecommunications and as a Production Technician at Lenscrafters until 2014. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Software Engineer II at BluJay Solutions, where they designed, developed, and tested specific functionality for software solutions. Additionally, they became experienced in various technologies such as Java, Oracle SQL, JUnit, PowerMock, Javascript, jQuery, Struts, and more. In 2014, they also briefly worked as a CIS Lab Tutor at Grand Valley State University. In 2018, they transitioned to Bravo LT, LLC, serving as a Senior Software Developer for clients in the Grand Rapids area, where they developed enhancements to software systems utilizing a Microservices Architecture in AWS. Finally, in 2019, they joined MetaMetrics, Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering, overseeing the software development process.

Matthew Armand attended several educational institutions and obtained a variety of qualifications throughout their academic career. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Grand Valley State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, Matthew studied Electronics Engineering Technology at Joliet Junior College. Before entering college, they completed their high school education at Joliet Catholic Academy from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained an Honors Diploma. Additionally, in April 2019, Matthew earned the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
