Sue Steinkamp

Sue Steinkamp has extensive experience in the field of assessment and measurement. Sue is currently the SVP of Research & Development at MetaMetrics, Inc., where they oversee the R&D team and supports the Chief Product Officer in developing strategies and goals for research activities. Prior to this, Sue held the position of Vice President of Assessment Development & Psychometrics at Scantron Corporation from 2014 to 2021, where they provided leadership and guidance to the assessment development and measurement teams. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at Pearson VUE, first as Director of Psychometric Services and later as Manager of Psychometric Services. In these roles, they managed global teams and supported business development by evaluating and proposing test development projects. Sue also has experience working at Pearson - Assessment & Instruction as a Test Development Manager and at Thomson Prometric as the Director of Test Development. Sue began their career as a Research Project Coordinator at NCS Assessments. Throughout their career, Sue has demonstrated expertise in psychometric and statistical analysis, item and test development, and compliance with testing standards.

Sue Steinkamp holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology/Quantitative Methods in Education from the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Psychology from the same institution. Their undergraduate studies were completed at St. Catherine University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology.
