Susana Gordo

Susana Gordo has had extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Their most recent position is as a Senior Director of Translational Science at Metaphore Biotechnologies, where they started in January 2022. Prior to this role, Susana worked at LogicBio Therapeutics from 2018 to 2021, where they held various positions including Director of Translational Medicine and Director of Translational Science. Susana also worked as a Principal Scientist at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals in 2018, where they focused on assay development for sample analysis. Before that, they served as a Senior Scientist at Translate Bio from 2015 to 2017, leading the platform for Assay Development. Susana also has experience as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Pfizer, where they worked on various projects related to biologics and rare diseases. Susana started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where they specialized in investigating early signaling events in autoimmune diseases. Susana completed their Ph.D. at IRB Barcelona, where they focused on designing ligands for cancer-associated mutants. Susana also had a brief visiting graduate student position at MIT.

Susana Gordo earned their B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona between 1999 and 2003. Susana then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the same university, completing their studies between 2004 and 2008.
