Tom Melendez

Tom Melendez is currently the Senior Engineering Director of Data Products at MethaneSAT. Prior to this role, Tom worked at Google as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in satellite imagery analytics and cloud deployments. Tom also has experience at Skybox Imaging as a Technical Lead and Engineering Manager, where Tom led a team to develop a Hadoop-based data platform. Additionally, Tom has worked at Yahoo! as a Technical Lead in Grid Programming and as a Cloud Computing Engineer in the media sector. Tom has also taught courses at Farmingdale State College as an Adjunct Instructor in the Computer Systems Department. Tom holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Long Island University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Stony Brook University.
