Mariana Templin

Mariana Templin has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Mariana began their career as an Editorial Assistant and Assistant to the Publisher at Oxford University Press. In 2013, they became the Head of Special Operations at Amuneal Manufacturing Corp., where they created and maintained content for the company website, designed digital prints, and orchestrated media marketing campaigns. In 2014, they worked as a Freelance Stylist at Anthropologie. In 2015, they were an iOS Development Apprentice and Quality Assurance Engineer at Tonic Design Co. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Meredith Corporation as a Software Engineer, leveraging a mix of javascript, react, express, jquery, css, and sass in the front end, and drupal and AWS in the backend. During this time, they also worked as a Teaching Fellow at Fullstack Academy of Code, where they mentored students and led lectures on algorithms and other computer science fundamentals. Most recently, they have been the Head of Technology and Cloud Engineer/Technical Lead at Method Media Intelligence, where they have helped design, build, and test almost entirely serverless end-to-end AWS ETL pipelines receiving and processing hundreds of millions of events a day, utilizing Lambda, Batch, Redis, Athena, DynamoDb, StepFunctions, and EC2 services.

Mariana Templin attended Kenyon College from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature.
