Johan Bastin

Johan Bastin has over three decades of experience in the infrastructure development and finance industries. Johan is currently a board member at Metinvest B.V., and was previously the CEO of CapAsia from July 2009 to March 2015. Prior to that, they served as Business Group Director Infrastructure at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from January 1998 to December 2002, and as Founding Team Director Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure from January 1993 to April 1999. Bastin also has experience as a managing director and co-head of fund at Darby Private Equity, and as a Resident Team Director at the Harvard Institute for International Development. In their early career, they worked as a Senior Expert Infrastructure Finance at DHV from January 1983 to December 1986.

Johan Bastin has a doctorate from Université de Montréal and a doctor of philosophy from Industrial Design Tu/e. Johan also attended St Thomas College Venlo.
