Steven joined Metis Strategy in 2018 as co-head of Executive Networks, Research, and Media. In this role, he works to nurture a vibrant community of technology executives and other leaders at the forefront of corporate innovation. He also collaborates with colleagues on a variety of editorial projects, including articles, whitepapers, and podcasts.
Steven’s interests lie at the intersection of technology, media, and leadership. Before joining Metis, he spent four years at The Wall Street Journal, where he covered chief information officers for CIO Journal. There, he wrote hundreds of stories on topics ranging from the rise of artificial intelligence in the enterprise to the real-world challenges of implementing Agile methodologies.
Prior to joining WSJ, he helped launch an online community for financial professionals at Thomson Reuters and completed business reporting internships at Bloomberg News and The Charlotte Observer.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with minors in business journalism and Spanish. He currently chairs the Alumni Association board of directors at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, his high school alma mater.
