Susan Podlogar

EVP, CHRO at MetLife

Susan Podlogar is the EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at MetLife. Susan has over 20 years of experience in human resources, and has held various leadership positions at johnson & johnson, bayer healthcare, and mercer.

Susan began their career as an analyst and consultant at mercer, where they worked for five years before joining bayer healthcare as a human resources manager. Susan spent four years at bayer before joining johnson & johnson in 2003 as a director of human resources.

At johnson & johnson, Susan held a number of progressively responsible positions, including vice president of human resources for the pharmaceutical R&D division and a member of the senior leadership team. In 2007, they were also elected to the global management board for the cordis franchise.

In 2016, Susan was named vice president of human resources for the medical devices companies at johnson & johnson, and they also became a member of the human resources executive committee. Susan held this position until June 2017, when they joined MetLife as EVP and CHRO.

Susan Podlogar has a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside, a masters degree from the University of South Florida, and a MBA from St. Catherine's High School.

They are on a team with Patrik Ringstroem - Chief Strategy Officer, Esther Lee - EVP, Global Chief Marketing Officer, and John D. McCallion - EVP, CFO. Their manager is Michel Khalaf, President & CEO. and Cindy Pace - Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer reports to Susan Podlogar.
