Timothy McKay

Timothy McKay has over 14 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing roles. Their most recent position is as the Head of Strategic Sourcing at Metlifecare, where they are responsible for implementing a data-driven model for purchasing goods and services. Prior to this, Timothy worked at Spark New Zealand as the Chapter Lead for IT & Indirect Procurement, and at Auckland Transport as a Procurement Manager and Senior Commercial Manager. Timothy has also held positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyd's Register, Swinton Insurance, The Co-operative Group, HM Revenue & Customs, and Thomas Cook, where they gained extensive experience in managing supplier relationships and leading large-scale procurement projects. Timothy has a strong background in negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings for their employers.

Timothy McKay's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Auckland University of Technology. Timothy completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in 2003, majoring in Business/Commerce, General. In 2001, they enrolled at the University of Hull, where they studied International Business for four years, obtaining a degree in the same field. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they attended London Metropolitan University, where they pursued a degree in Purchasing and Supply, earning an MCIPS qualification.
