Fareed Ahmed

Fareed Ahmed has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Fareed started their career in 2008 as an Information Technology Help Desk at Fort Networks, LLC, where they were involved in network and equipment migration.

In the same year, they also worked as an Application Developer, System and Database Administrator, and IT Helpdesk at TFS Group INC. Fareed upgraded IIS 6 to IIS 7, hosted web applications on IIS, and migrated SQL server 2003 database to SQL Server 2008. Fareed also upgraded ASP pages to ASP.net pages.

From 2008 to 2019, Fareed worked at TFS Group, Inc. as a Full Stack Application Developer, System Administrator, and System Analyst for the Department of Justice. Fareed developed and maintained a document management system, cloned a MS Access application into ASP.NET and VB.NET, and cloned a MS Access database into SQL Server.

In 2017, Fareed worked as a Freelance Web and WordPress Developer where they focused on WordPress website development, creating mockups, and content creation and logo design.

In 2020, Fareed joined Volpe Information Technology Group, Inc. as a Full Stack Web/Application Developer. Fareed created and maintained fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment using Azure DevOps.

Currently, Fareed is working at Metric5 as an SRE/DevOps Engineer, deployed at TTB (The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau). Fareed is involved in an Agile project that focuses on IT modernization into a cloud-based infrastructure. Fareed performs tasks as a Site Reliability Engineer and works on both on-premise and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Fareed Ahmed obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2009 and 2012.
