Amy Gavras Phr

Amy Gavras, PHR, SHRM-CP has a significant amount of work experience in human resources and payroll. Amy currently holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources and Payroll at Metro Mattress, where they have been since March 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Human Resources and Payroll at the same company, starting in August 2015.

Before their time at Metro Mattress, Amy worked at the E. John Gavras Center. From November 2014 to July 2015, they were the Division Director of Operations/HR. Amy also held the position of Human Resource Director at the company from May 2004 to July 2015. Their earliest role at the E. John Gavras Center was as the Day Habilitation Coordinator from July 2000 to May 2004.

Amy's work experience also includes a role as a Day Habilitation Coordinator at Seneca Cayuga ARC from July 1994 to July 2000.

Amy Gavras, PHR, SHRM-CP attended Mater Dei College, Cayuga Community College, and Regents College, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Development. Amy has obtained certifications including the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI in August 2020, as well as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2011. Additionally, they hold a certification in Professional Human Resources from HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Amy is also a candidate for obtaining the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.
