Amy Flatt, M.Ed., currently serves as a Gifted and Talented Educator with Metro Nashville Public Schools since August 2017, focusing on Gifted Education and Talent Development at Shwab and Tom Joy Elementary. Previous experience includes roles as a Junior Game Developer Intern at Bencin Studio and Director of K-12 Initiatives at the Nashville Technology Council, where responsibilities encompassed organizing educational camps, professional development, and connecting educators with resources within the tech community. Earlier in their career, Flatt taught Math and various subjects at MNPS, earning recognition with the Wolfram Alpha Math Hero award. Flatt's background also includes success as a Reading Recovery Teacher in Williamson County Schools and serving as a Title I coordinator and Reading Recovery Teacher at MNPS. Educational accomplishments consist of a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Middle Tennessee State University, complemented by additional mathematics coursework at Lipscomb University.
