Sean Braisted

Sean Braisted serves as the Chief of Communications and Technology for Metro Nashville Public Schools since November 2019, previously holding the position of Executive Officer of Communications and Community Engagement. Braisted's career includes roles such as Public Information Officer for the Metro Department of Codes and Communications Director for both the Office of Mayor Megan Barry and Megan Barry for Mayor. Additional experience encompasses serving as Press Secretary for the Tennessee House Democratic Caucus and New Media Manager for the Tennessee Democratic Party. Notably recognized for contributions to Nashville21.com as a Blog Producer, Braisted also worked as a Warehouse Manager at Florig Equipment. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Tennessee State University and an Associate's degree in Political Science and Government from Nashville State.
