Sharada Deaton

Sharada Deaton has extensive experience in educational leadership, having served as Executive Principal at Wright Middle School and Ninth Grade Academy Principal within Metro Nashville Public Schools since August 2014. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum, instruction, discipline, teacher evaluations, and engaging with parents and the community. Prior roles at Metro Nashville Public Schools encompassed Dean of Students, ELL Teacher/Department Chair, and Instructional Coach, focusing on student discipline, attendance, academic interventions, and supporting English Language Learners. Additionally, Sharada has taught undergraduate and graduate courses as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix and Lipscomb University. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education from Tennessee State University and multiple degrees from the University of Madras and Tennessee Technological University.
