Raul Aliaga has a diverse and extensive work experience in the maritime and shipping industry. Raul started their career as a Third/Second Officer at Southern Ship Management in 1994 and held this role until 1997. Raul then worked as a Reefer Operations Superintendent at Compañia Sud Am from 1997 to 1998. Raul returned to Southern Ship Management as a Third/Second Officer from 1998 to 1999.
In 1999, Raul took on the role of Operations Supervisor at Naviera Chaiten/Chaiten Shipping Co, where they worked until 2000. During the same year, they worked as a Second Officer at Navimag.
Raul's next position was at Del Monte Fresh, where they worked as a Vessel Operator from 2000 to 2006. Raul'sresponsibilities included planning and coordinating loading operations, leading due diligence efforts for port asset acquisitions, and implementing databases and worksheets to optimize vessel capacities and reduce costs.
From 2006 to 2009, Raul served as a Senior Vessel Operator at Gearbulk Shipping. Raul then joined Crowley Maritime as a Terminal Operations Supervisor from February to May 2010.
In 2010, Raul started working at King Ocean Shipping, where they held the role of Vessel Planning and Operations. During their tenure, they successfully implemented various programs to optimize stowage and vessel loading procedures, remodeled procedures to reduce container losses, and coordinated global operations.
Currently, Raul is the Director of Operations at Metro Ports, a position they have held since March 2020.
Raul Aliaga obtained a Bachelor's degree from Escuela Naval Arturo Prat Chile between 1991 and 1993. The field of study is not specified.
