Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Peter is currently serving as the Innovation, Operations, and IT Director at Metro Safety Group since July 2019. Prior to this, they held the role of Non-Executive Director at the same company, where they assisted in their transformation into a PropTech company by digitizing their operations. Peter also played a significant role in keeping the business operational during the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Before joining Metro Safety Group, Peter founded and served as the CEO of Koru Solutions Limited since September 1995. Their consulting focus was on various areas including project management, production, design thinking, operations, supply chain, and more. Peter worked with clients such as Unilever, Nestle Waters, and small SMEs.

Peter also has experience as a Member of the Advisory Board and Strategic Advisor at TERSUS Solutions, a company specializing in sustainable textile processing using liquid CO2.

In the past, Peter served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Member at CWS-boco Group, where they were responsible for global operations, supply chain, procurement, and managing over 7000 staff. Peter also served as the General Manager in China, establishing greenfield laundry facilities and growing the business to almost €10m in revenue.

Prior to these roles, Peter worked at Unilever as a Project Engineer and Project Manager, and also gained experience at Reserve Bank of New Zealand and U.S. House of Representatives through internships. Peter started their career in the industry by working at Drillex, Waitaki NZR, and Clutha Leathers in various operational roles.
