Karen Barton

Karen Barton has been serving as a Policy & Records Management Officer at Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd since August 2017, following a lengthy tenure as a SHE Compliance Officer at Nyrstar Hobart from December 1995 to July 2017, where responsibilities included the coordination of SHE obligations management. Karen holds multiple qualifications in safety, quality management, hazardous materials, and business administration, including a Statement of Attainment in LEAN from People Improvers in 2021 and various advanced certificates related to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and Occupational Safety and Health, obtained between 2005 and 2017.
