Abyartha Sharma

Abyartha (Aby) Sharma is an experienced Program Manager at Metro Vancouver since February 2007, currently leading the Asset Management and Business Support team for Water services. This role focuses on optimizing asset and business processes through improved maintenance, financial management, and climate change mitigation programs. Aby has previously held positions in water system modeling and planning, and served as Acting Director of Water Services, demonstrating strategic leadership and operational expertise in overseeing initiatives for the water system. Prior experience includes working as a Project Engineer for the City of Vancouver, a Senior Utilities Specialist for the City of Chilliwack, and a Project Engineer at Dayton Knight. Abyartha holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College.
