Tameka Y. Cass has a diverse work experience that spans multiple organizations and roles. Tameka Y. started their career at Parkland Foundation in 2005, where they served as Major Gifts, Corporate and Foundation Giving. In this role, they were responsible for securing funding from external sources.

In 2011, Tameka joined United Way of Metropolitan Dallas as the Senior Director, Corporate & Foundation Giving. Tameka Y.'smain focus was on securing funding for United Way programs related to Education, Income, and Health. Tameka Y. worked closely with private and corporate donors as well as government entities to develop proposals, handle grant awards, and ensure compliance.

In 2013, Tameka joined Metrocare Services as the Chief Development & Diversity Officer. Tameka Y. then took on the position of Director Of Philanthropy within the same organization. In these roles, Tameka was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Marketing & Development department. Tameka Y. managed staff, developed fund development strategies, and coordinated agency-wide special events. Tameka Y. also worked on enhancing the agency's public image and promoting its programs and services to the community.

In 2020, Tameka briefly joined WiNGS Dallas as the Chief Development Officer, before transitioning to their current role at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.

Throughout their career, Tameka has demonstrated their expertise in fundraising, grant management, and community engagement.

Tameka Y. Cass attended the High School for Health Professions from 1989 to 1991. However, no degree or field of study was specified during this period. Tameka Y. also pursued a Masters of Science in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2004.

WHO WE ARE Metrocare is changing minds! We are North Texas'​ leading nonprofit dedicated to helping people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and severe emotional problems live healthier lives. The primary disorders treated by Metrocare include depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia, anxiety, autism, ADD, and ADHD. OUR OPPORTUNITIES Metrocare hires psychologists and psychiatrists (bilingual and Spanish-language skills are needed and valued). We have research programs, and we train a new generation of mental health professionals for work in the public sector. OUR SERVICES Metrocare serves over 50,000 people annually. We provide adult mental healthcare services, including medication management, children and adolescent mental healthcare services, mental retardation/developmental disability services for adults and children, early childhood intervention services, primary healthcare services for families, pharmacy services, and social services that include housing services, occupational services, and foster care training and monitoring. OUR CLINICS Our 14 clinics and satellite clinics (including 7 main clinics) include two Centers for Children with Autism. Clinics are in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Addison.
