Nynne Marie Bech is a professional with extensive experience in sustainability, climate consulting, and environmental accounting. Currently serving as a Faglig leder for livscyklus og metoder and as a klima- og miljøkonsulent at Metroselskabet & Hovedstadens Letbane since January 2020, Nynne has previously worked at NIRAS from November 2014 to October 2019 as a consultant in sustainability, resources, and circular economy. Nynne has a strong background in environmental footprinting, having prepared significant climate and green accounts for regions and municipalities, as well as an E P&L for an international organization. Additionally, Nynne has engaged in projects focusing on circular economy business models for electronics and textiles. An experienced communicator, Nynne has also acted as a guest speaker and teaching assistant at educational institutions, sharing insights on urban infrastructure and landscape ecology. Nynne holds a Cand. Scient in Geography and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Copenhagen, complemented by an international experience as an exchange student at James Cook University.

In The Copenhagen Metro and Greater Copenhagen Light Rail we are 350 employees who solve a task of great importance: To deliver world-class metro and light rail, now and for the next generations. We do this in close cooperation with contractors, operators, and advisers. For us, it's about creating the greatest possible social value with the smallest possible climate footprint. It is a task that obliges. Every week, more than 2 million passengers use the Copenhagen Metro, and the number is increasing day by day. Copenhagen currently has four metro lines. In 2024, we will open five new stations to Ny Ellebjerg (Copenhagen South), and we are planning a brand new fifth metro line to open in 2035. In addition, we are well underway with the construction of the capital's new light rail between Lyngby and Ishøj. The construction of both the current and future lines are projects of an international scale.
