Austin Amaya

Austin Amaya, PhD, currently serves as the Algorithm Test and Evaluation Lead at MORSECORP LTD, where responsibilities include leading a cross-functional team in the development and implementation of the DoD's AI computer vision program. With extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning from a prior role as Senior Research Scientist and Team Lead at Metron, Inc., Austin has a strong background in managing complex projects. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech, along with dual Master’s degrees in Physics and Mathematics. Austin's foundational education was completed at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics.
