Jeffrey S. Silver is a Senior Fellow at Metron. Jeffrey was previously the Chief Information Officer at Metron, Inc. from January 1997 to December 2003. During their time as CIO, Jeffrey provided executive technology leadership for a $36M scientific solutions organization. Jeffrey was responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, implementation and support, and they transformed IT into a strategic business partner. Jeffrey managed and delivered multiple large scale projects on time and within budget.

Some of Jeffrey’s notable accomplishments during their time as CIO at Metron include separating the infrastructure for Metron, Inc.’s corporate reorganization into 4 independent companies (Metron Futures, Metron Inc., TerrAlign, and Metron Aviation), setting each up for independent function and long-term success; establishing the initial corporate infrastructure including centralized email, data center, and implementing the corporate helpdesk; growing the research data infrastructure by over 225% in 5 years while consistently reducing IT expenditures and maintaining staff level; instituting an enterprise security initiative for 3 corporate offices and telecommuters; and leading an anti-malware initiative utilizing innovative techniques and processes in addition to employing centrally managed enterprise anti-malware products. Jeffrey was also the project manager for relocating an expanding business unit, and they established the new location including data center on time and under budget.

Jeffrey S. Silver has a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information Systems from Liberty University and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College.
