Sarah McQueen

Sarah McQueen is an accomplished research scientist with significant expertise in acoustic sensing and engineering. Currently employed at Metron, Inc. since September 2019, Sarah has previously contributed as a research engineer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, where responsibilities included designing and prototyping acoustic sensors for autonomous underwater vehicles and managing multiple high-value research projects. Earlier experience as a tooling engineer at Boeing involved developing tooling stress analysis capabilities and designing equipment for major aircraft assembly lines. Sarah's foundational experience includes an internship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, focused on bioenergy, and a research assistant role at Brigham Young University. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Engineering Acoustics from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
