Avinash Rajagopal

Editor In Chief at Metropolis Magazine

Avinash Rajagopal started their work experience in 2007 as a Visual Merchandiser and Packaging Designer at Titan Industries. Avinash then worked as a Research Associate and Visiting Faculty at the National Institute of Design from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they founded Little Design Book and also worked as a Blogger at Metropolis Magazine. In 2011, Avinash became a Guest Lecturer at the School of Visual Arts and a Founding Partner at Superscript. Avinash joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 as an External Reader and Critic. Avinash's roles at Metropolis Magazine progressed from Assistant Editor to Associate Editor, Senior Editor, and finally Editor In Chief, starting from 2011 and continuing to the present.

Avinash Rajagopal holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at the National Institute of Design from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a degree in Product Design.
