Emily Colby is an accomplished risk management professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Enterprise Risk Management at the Metropolitan Airports Commission since July 2024. Prior to this role, Emily held the position of Director of Risk Management for the City of Minneapolis, where notable achievements included developing strategies to manage increased claims and streamline liability processes in response to civil unrest. With previous experience as the Enterprise Risk Manager for Ramsey County, Emily designed the Strategic & Enterprise Risk Management function and led initiatives to increase organizational risk awareness. During a decade at the CFA Institute, Emily directed global risk management efforts, transitioning frameworks, overseeing insurance programs, and ensuring compliance across multiple countries. Emily holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Augustana University (SD).
