Jason Young

Jason Young has extensive experience in law enforcement and security, currently serving as a Police Sergeant with the City of Independence since 1996, where responsibilities include supervising detectives and managing major criminal investigations. In addition, Jason has served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard, leading internal security operations at the Al Basrah Oil Terminal in Iraq and training multinational forces. As an Academy Instructor at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City since 1999, Jason educates future law enforcement professionals on a range of critical topics. Academically, Jason holds a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Central Missouri and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
