George Sprouse has over three decades of experience in engineering, specializing in process engineering, research and development, and air quality management. Currently serving as the Manager of Process Engineering, R&D, and Air Quality at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities since July 2006, George has held various managerial roles within the organization. Prior experience includes working as a PhD student at Northwestern University from 2004 to 2008 and holding engineering positions at MWH, Baxter & Woodman, and MWH Global from 1987 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University and advanced degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
