Marcy Syman

Marcy Syman has extensive work experience in the HR field, specifically in the Metropolitan Council organization. Marcy started their career in 1999 as the Manager of Learning and Organization Development, where they implemented various programs and systems related to training, leadership development, workforce planning, and performance management. In 2008, they were promoted to Assistant HR Director, focusing on talent management. In this role, they contributed to the strategic direction and implementation of HR policies and practices. In 2012, Marcy became the HR Director, responsible for establishing the strategic direction of HR policies, programs, and practices for the organization. Marcy oversaw various HR functions, including recruitment and selection, labor relations, learning and organizational development, benefits, compensation, and occupational health. Marcy also ensured compliance with laws and regulations through negotiation and administration of labor contracts. Marcy Syman has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead, obtained from 1977 to 1981.
