Marcy Syman has extensive work experience in the HR field, specifically in the Metropolitan Council organization. In 2008, they were promoted to Assistant HR Director, focusing on talent management. In this role, they contributed to the strategic direction and implementation of HR policies and practices. In 2012, Marcy became the HR Director, responsible for establishing the strategic direction of HR policies, programs, and practices for the organization. Marcy oversaw various HR functions, including recruitment and selection, labor relations, learning and organizational development, benefits, compensation, and occupational health. Marcy also ensured compliance with laws and regulations through negotiation and administration of labor contracts.
