Jacqueline Garcia currently serves as Supervising Attorney and Pro Bono Staff Attorney for the Immigration Project at Metropolitan Family Services since April 2023. Previously, Jacqueline held the position of Lead Detention Attorney at The Resurrection Project from June 2022 to November 2022. At the U.S. Department of Justice, Jacqueline worked as a Judicial Law Clerk/Attorney Advisor from September 2020 to June 2022. Other roles include serving as a Student Attorney at Drake University Law School's Children's Rights Clinic between August 2019 and May 2020, Law Clerk at Fiedler Law Firm, PLC from May 2019 to April 2020, and Law Clerk at Parrish Kruidenier Moss Dunn from January 2019 to April 2019. Jacqueline’s earlier experience includes a Prevention Specialist Intern role at LUNA (Latinas Unidas por un Nuevo Amanecer) and a Summer Legal Intern position at the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence in 2018, as well as serving as Lead Facilitator for Al Éxito (Iowa) from August 2017 to May 2018. Jacqueline obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from Drake University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Iowa State University.
